Hi. Very nice patterns. I look forward to your sew alongs. The fabric for Vogue 2000 is really nice. Have a nice day.
Hello thanks for the comment sew along coming soon
do you make patterns
yes
Is that material hard to sew?
Very soft and easy to sew
I have one also. Love it. I thought about painting it also. Great machine.
Thats dope Your real good!!
Don't spray paint it
Nice find! Good looking machine I'm looking for one for my tactical gear
Good tips....thank you 😊
This is a strong and durable machine. This machine has no. reverse but it is a machine for. .more. than a. lifetime. Blessings
I juat tried barbara eliasons reverse stich method! Got it to work!
Get a sailrite servo motor for better speed control. I just refurbished one of these.
Immediate oil is not critical. Oiler soaks wicks throughout machine. Wicks hold oil, they rest against moving parts, that is how machime gets lubricated
I wish you would have your recipe to where we can print
WOW Nice machine and great video. Love your enthusiasm and excitement, I would be too. I am looking for a good one myself. Thanks for sharing.
Hola buen día yo tengo una haci me la entregaron sin el depósito para el aceite y no lo puedo encontrar se puede usar haci o no lo lleva??
Screen way too small
Linda la plana.felicidades.
😍👍🏳️🌈🧕🏿😇😋🥺👌🏾⌚️🦹🏾♂️
👍👍 la máquina puede usar doble Abuja??
I bought mine for $20 from a yard sale and still havent used it
I had a machine just like that one for many years. It is a real workhorse. I bought mine used from Jansport after working in their factory in the 1980s. The proper way to backstitch with that machine for reinforcing is to lift the presser foot up a tiny bit with your knee and manually move the fabric towards you for a few stitches (still sewing) and then let the presser foot go back down and stitch over it again. That is how I was trained to do it in the Jansport factory. Once you learn how to do it, and practice some, it is very easy. The trick is not to lift the presser foot high enough to not be making stitches. Good luck with that.
I just read manual and found out I have the 281-3 model which is for heavier fabric. Can't wait to use it.
I got the same one 281-3 model NAJI Shabazz
Wow! Someone gave me a few machines including one like this. I use to design 20 years ago. Just getting back into it starting with upholstery. I'm inspired and will be setting mine up in the morn. Thx.
Thanks for the information I need a oil pan for mine before I can use it thanks again
i really like your video i just buy a sewing machine similar too yours and I would just know if someone would help me restore it
Try your local shop they should be able to help.
I'm trying to sew view A at the moment and I'm stuck - it's the collar that is stopping me..... I don't understand step 13 where it talks about sewing the extension piece - What is the extension piece... it's not even listed in the pattern pieces. I'm so confused.... is that any chance that you could lead me in the right direction?
I'm in the same spot and no amount of pinning is helping me figure it out
I have one of these and I can not seem to get it to slow down I try to barely mash the foot pedal and it goes way too fast and either breaks the needle or just messes up because I can’t control it. Is there any Type adjustment for the foot pedals so that it doesn’t so quite so fast?
Just keep practicing and be patient with yourself. It takes time to work an industrial machine. Hope that helps.
You need to put a servo motor on they cost about120 dollars it will work great
all you have to do is take the motor drive pulley off and install a smaller one
Awesome machine!!! How do you change the stitch length?
You have to click the button on the top and turn the wheel to get the stitch length to change.
Nice haul I bought b6497
Shame will have to junk the one my mother owned. Have exact model that still works. Have to get rid of it and willing to give away, but someone would have to pick it up in SF Chinatown.
What city and state are you in maybe someone will read this post and pick it up.
San Francisco, CA in Chinatown.
@@harrywong4094 you should def offer this up for someone! A young fashion student would love one of these, I hope u found a good home for it. I might know someone in your area that might want it, if u have not.
Dang! I just got one this afternoon. It was on Craigslist and I was looking for one just casually. I found it, googled to this video and I was like, I'm going to go get it. 6000 stitches per minute... Yeah I'll believe it. Came with oil and it pumps up. I just watched another video of this thing stitching 1/4" thick stack of vinyl. So I'm going to be using it for leather. Thanks for the vid. Specially the start up sound. By the way, the motor doesn't pump anything at all. It's the actual pulley turning that pumps oil...so you gotta use it to let the lube go up. Just don't load it for a few seconds of fast turns.
Your going to love your new toy!!! Post a video pleae!
The old industrials are the best, if you are lucky enough to find one. You don't need to wait a minute at startup for the oil. The oil pump only runs when the machine is sewing. It runs off the main machine shaft, not the motor unit.
Would you have any oil pans in your inventory thanks
Thank you for this Video! I actually have the freezer paper and I'm going to try this. I'm making a simple dress for my granddaughter and this will be my 1st time try to make any type of clothing. Wish me luck. Thanks again!

Hey, you might want to relabel the video "McCall's Pattern Review 7688" You seem to have swapped out the 6's and the 8. :] The real 7866 is a fitted Misses Dress
Thanks!!!
I have this pattern without the instructions so this video is perfect. Thank you!!!
thank you for creating this video. i bought this pattern and need some guidance.
Your welcome trust me I know that feeling. I still have those confusing patterns in the drawer lol.
I have the pattern for the last dress. I think I’m going to have to shorten the torso because I have a short waist and the hip part won’t fall in the right place. Thank you for the video because I’m shaped like you but you’re taller than I am. I can see where I’ll have to adjust the pattern.
Both dresses are really nice. I love the way you used bias tape. The bias tape worked out great. The inside is just as pretty as the outside.
Gorgeous dresses 👏🏾
Super chic! 👌
Hi, lv Vouge tutorials great techniques ✌🏿️👌🏾😇
I love that purple coat. It will be BEAUTIFUL. I just subscribed. I'm interested in seeing more
Nice haul. I really like the blazer pattern and it will look great in stripes.
I am excited about making the blazer as well!
Blessings,nice,i know I am late😀
great haul, I was just looking at the coat pattern but decided to save it for fall.
I am going to making it now since it takes me forever to sew a coat. I pray it will be ready for fall/winter....lol
Nice machine.
Love the details on the Simplicity 8689 dress. It looks great!
Nice makes. I really love the blue dress that has the long belt and the sleeves with the contrast fabric. The striped dress with the jacket is perfect. That looks so good together. Looking forward to seeing more of your makes.
Thank you!
